This is upsetting, but he should not have pleaded guilty. Many times the cops don’t show up and if they do it is usually reduced by a lot. One thing I’m wondering though is why my first offense red light ticket (which I didn’t pay) was $270 and this one was $190. Both incidences happened in Brooklyn.

I mean, the dude’s already suspect for pleading guilty when the cop’s ballpark figure of the fines are $700
