Yesterday I had a little accident at the gym. I was doing shoulder presses, the weight I was using seemed too light. I got a heavier one but it was too much for my shoulder and it dislocated. I dropped to the floor, an ambulance was called, and I had to spend 4 hours in the ER. My arm is now in a sling, but I still wanted to bike. It’s probably not the smartest thing to do but today I biked to the city and back with my arm in a sling. I am a righty and it’s my right shoulder which made it more difficult to balance. It was the slowest and scariest bike ride of my life. My biggest fear was getting hit by all the city busses. I got so many funny looks. The security guard at school was impressed. But I survived it all, and now I don’t believe there are any excuses anyone can give me for not being able to ride a bike.
